In lotion form, its cap has been designed to release just a few drops of product each time it’s used, so you can control the dose and enjoy the 100 ml bottle for longer.
Why it’s in our selection: Do you prefer aftershave lotion to balm? If so, this Proraso is one of the best choices for me. This is a brand I really appreciate, particularly for the olfactory worlds it creates, and the least I can say is that this Refreshing treatment lives up to its name!
It’s extremely pleasant to apply to the skin, the sensation of freshness is instantaneous and it’s a real pleasure to start the day this way. The fragrance is so pleasant that it’s a shame it doesn’t last longer, but after all, this is an aftershave, not an eau de toilette.

So it’s no surprise that it’s included in this selection and that I recommend it to you, especially as its fluid, refreshing texture is ideal and perfectly matches what you’d expect from a skincare product of this type.
As is often the case with this brand, the formula could do with a little more attention to potentially allergenic ingredients, but at this price and with a bottle that’s more than capable of lasting several months, it’s still a very good option!

The only complaint I’d have is that it’s perhaps a little too liquid for a balm: it’s more like a lotion, but as the container isn’t adapted, getting the right dose into your hands when applying it can sometimes be a bit tricky…
But for everything else, it’s really top-notch: the soothing, moisturizing effect is felt instantly, it’s absolutely not greasy, it doesn’t leave a shiny veil and its scent, though discreet, is very pleasant.
And that’s without mentioning its natural, ultra-clean formula! If you’re careful about the products you apply to your skin, this is clearly the skincare product for you.

All-in-one care for everyday use! Nivea Men’s Protect & Care aftershave balm has been specifically designed to provide the soothing, moisturizing relief you’re looking for after shaving.
Thanks to its formula enriched with vitamin E, aloe vera and various nourishing agents, it immediately soothes razor burn, effectively reduces redness and even regenerates and repairs the skin.
Emollient, it also reinforces the skin’s natural defenses and protects it from external aggression all day long.
Its non-greasy texture prevents any sticky or shiny effect, and while it can of course be used on its own, it’s advisable to opt for the complete Protect & Care routine (pre-shave + aftershave + moisturizer) for best results, especially for the most sensitive skin.
Why it’s in our selection: Inexpensive and not uninteresting! I wasn’t sure what to expect with this Nivea Men Protect & Care, one of the most affordable aftershaves on the market, and in the end, it didn’t disappoint.
The brand lives up to its reputation, and this treatment meets every expectation, whether it’s to instantly soothe skin that’s just been attacked by razor blades, or to nourish the epidermis while adding extra softness.
As for the fragrance, it’s quite refreshing and the sensation is pleasant on application. It may go a little far in saying that it “protects against external aggressions”, but that’s really just a detail. So if you’re tempted, give it a try!
