Baldness is often associated with old age, disease, or genetics in this world. But what about in the eternal paradise of Jannah? Will bald people be resurrected hairless? We asked a local mosque’s imam to enlighten us about this topic.
The Qualities of People in Jannah
The assumption that people will be bald in Jannah comes from this hadeeth:
Mu’aath ibn Jabal may Allaah be pleased with him related that the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: “The people of Paradise will enter Paradise Jurd (hairless), Murd (beardless) and with kohl on their eyes, aged thirty or thirty-three years.”
Also, the Quran and Ahadith describe the inhabitants of Jannah as being given the best of forms, free from all defects and blemishes. Allah says in the Quran:
“Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds – they will have the Gardens of Paradise as a lodging, wherein they abide eternally. They will not be moved from it.” (Quran 18:107-108)
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said about the people of Jannah: “There will be no one among the people of Paradise who is unmarried, and they will all look alike and will resemble one another…” (Sahih Muslim)
This narration indicates that the people of Jannah will be in a pristine state of youth and beauty, without any imperfections. Baldness or hair loss would be considered an imperfection, and so cannot logically exist in Jannah.
No Natural Defects in Jannah
Moreover, Allah has promised the believers untold bounties and delights in the eternal gardens of Paradise. He says in the Quran:
“They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin. Only a saying: Peace, peace.” (Quran 56:25-26)
“No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated.” (Quran 56:19)
These verses confirm that Jannah will be free of any unpleasantness, defects, or negative effects. There will be no natural phenomena that cause harm, pain or unsightliness. The inhabitants of paradise will not undergo physical afflictions like disease or aging that can lead to baldness in this world.

Everlasting Youth and Beauty
Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said about the inhabitants of Jannah:
“The first group to enter Paradise will look like the moon when it is full. They will not spit or blow their noses or defecate therein. Their vessels and combs will be of gold and silver, their incense burners will be of aloeswood and their sweat will be musk. Each of them will have two wives, the marrow of whose legs will be visible from beneath the flesh because of their beauty. There will be no discord or enmity among them and their hearts will be as one, and they will glorify Allah morning and evening.” (Bukhari)
This hadith paints a vivid picture of the unfading youth, radiance and flawless beauty enjoyed by the people of Paradise. The wives described in the hadith have such unblemished beauty that the marrow of their legs can be seen through their flesh – a metaphor for the absence of any imperfections.
With this everlasting youth and pristine beauty endowed to the inhabitants of Jannah, it is certain that no person will suffer from baldness or hair loss in the eternal abode of perfect contentment and sublimity.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the Islamic concept of Jannah is that of an ideal realm free of defects, distresses and negative effects.
While we cannot know for certain, it seems reasonable to conclude from the Quran and hadith that people will not suffer from any kind of unattractive baldness in Paradise.
However, we also cannot definitively say that no inhabitants of Jannah will lack hair. Perfect bodies in the next life may not match earthly ideals. The people of Jannah will abide eternally in the prime of youth and beauty, at the age of 33, precisely.
The inhabitants of paradise will enjoy everlasting contentment, radiance and beauty beyond our imagination.
